I graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Australian Catholic University in 2017, and have since been working in private practice as a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and Clinical Pilates instructor. With a passion for Womens and Pelvic Health for as long as I remember, I dove into post graduate training with Women’s Health Training Associates, and have completed Advanced courses for Chronic Pelvic Pain (including bladder, anorectal, endometriosis), Pelvic Floor in Exercise and Musculoskeletal Dysfunction, Overactive Bladder, Pelvic Organ Prolapse and Stress Urinary Incontinence (including pessary insertions), Pregnancy and Birth Choices, and Trauma informed therapy. I love empowering women through all life stages including the pregnancy and postnatal period in treatment and exercise rehabilitation!
As a physiotherapist, I use a range of manual techniques (including dry needling), and complement this with exercise, gym and pilates-based rehabilitation programs with an emphasis on you as a whole.
I also have a deep love for pilates and using its methods and equipment infused with clinical rehabilitation to suit every stage of life, and every body. I have completed Advanced levels in Matwork and Equipment Pilates through the Pilates Institute of Queensland, and assisted in tutoring the Diploma of Pilates students, and assisted running their Pelvic Floor Pilates courses in 2020.
Most of my passions revolve around all things Musical Theatre - so when not performing in shows myself, I have the privilege of working with dancers of all levels, and am the cast Physio for many of the touring Musicals at QPAC and around Brisbane (with recent “credits” being Come from Away, Chicago, Shrek the Musical, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Chicago, Muriel’s Wedding, Puffs, Les Miserables and Wicked). I love to assess and treat professional and aspiring dancers for injuries and rehabilitation, and can provide pre-pointe assessments and exercises to achieve your goals in dance.
I am a mother of two very energetic toddlers and we have recently moved back home to Coffs Harbour to be nearer to our families as it truely takes a village, and are loving the homestead lifestyle with our veggie gardens, chickens, and surrounded by paddocks.
So if you’ve made it this far - thank you for sharing a few moments of your life getting to know me a little more, and I look forward to being a part of your journey to wellness and beyond!
